Based on the report of Mr. Jesus Aguirre Dioso, the Public Relation Officer of that town, there are other passengers along with them who survive from the tragic incident identified as Majel Tresche, Torebeo Barrentos, two underaged, and one unidentified woman.
Moreover, the driver of the speedboat and happened to be the bodyguard and the relative of the mayor was declared lost his life upon its arrival at the nearest medical center. The Municipal Public relation Officer states that the two celebrities were friends of Mayor Tan and he will tour them in a well-known tourist spot of the town, the Mararison Island.

Meanwhile, the Police Officer Incharge Sr. Inspector Glen Jaromay, reiterated that the cause why it takes time before the victims were rescued was the tragedy was informed to the Sebaste Police Station after 1 PM in the afternoon. "The boat capsized at 10:50 a.m., they arrived in the shoreline at 1:45 p.m. Mayor Tan and Torebeo Barrentos swam for more than 2 hours going to the shoreline. Fishermen saw them and helped them. Mayor Tan went onboard a pump boat and went back to where the boat capsized and checked on the situation of his friends."
