Lice are parasites that feed on the blood and live in the scalp of its unlucky host. A modern generation of super lice is wreaking destruction and is making scientist scratch their heads while most species of this parasite can now be managed through regular treatment. Most over-the-counter lice remedies such as permethrin and pyrethrin are proved to work 100% of the time in 2000. However, the experts discovered that this modern generation of lice is increasing in their recent research that is conducted in 2013.

Related to as ‘super lice,’ these annoying critters have become immune to over-the-counter remedies. This disturbing news caused panic and fear not only to parents but also to the hairdressers as expected. In Modesto, California, a salon has begun offering lice treatment to its services. Parents will come usually to the salon to get rid of their kid's lice infestation. This has really been an easy and booming business in the past.

However, eliminating lice have become a challenge because of the existence of super lice. Since they look just like normal lice, it didn’t help that it’s also hard to find them. They have the same appearance and size. On the other hand, the super lice are resistant to traditional remedies which is the only difference between them.

Now, there is a remedy for super lice but it's only available in the United States. Dr. Ellaine Soriano who is a US-based pediatrician told that we can still try traditional remedies like nitpicking for the meantime. It is better than making the lice spread although this remedy might take some time. Experts recommend people that they should be careful of one’s personal belongings to avoid getting super lice. Try also to avoid sharing a comb, hat, towel, or hair accessories and also tried to have a close contact with the people who are lice-infected.

"That's sad but its even worst that you'd take a situation like that post a story on it we can be civilized enough to discuss things like this while not embarrassing a teenager or child well some of us can anyway."
