The video instantly became a talk of the town as the netizen discovered that she was Jackie Chan's daughter.
Etta Ng Chok Lam is Jackie Chan's daughter to Elaine Ng who is his former girlfriend and is a beauty queen. The reason why her parents separated to each other is that she's born unexpectedly. Elaine then decided that she's going to take care of her daughter without Jackie's help.
Etta is currently 18-year-old and is already enough to think and made decision for herself. However, to opt for a different gender is one of the biggest decision she makes. She already has a girlfriend named Andi Autumn who is a 30-year-old Canadian.
Her mother, however, doesn't seem to support these decisions of Etta. It got to the time that she no longer feels concerned about the life of her daughter. Etta chose to elope with her girlfriend because of this rift with her mother. But, what they did will lead them to a lot of struggles and conflicts.
The two didn't have their own home to stay too, nor did they have the money to rent a place for themselves because they were too young and economically unstable individuals. For quite some time, the couple has been homeless which forced them to stay in various public places to spend their nights such as under the bridge.
And because of the two didn't want how her mother criticizes their relationship was the reason why Etta didn't want to return in her place.
Posting a video of themselves asking for help and explaining why they went to that situation is the only way they think wishing that someone will help them. The two then uploaded their video to YouTube saying that they don't know what to do anymore, that they were also homeless and saying that they want Etta's mother to accept who and what she really is.
The video gained various reactions and sentiments of netizens. Many social media users don't like how irresponsible Etta is. Some netizen thinks that if Etta as incapable of handling their relationship independently she shouldn't have gone into a relationship. Some netizen was pissed because Etta uses her status as the daughter of the famous martial artist Jackie Chan to make their video trending.
Others also felt sorry for the mother of Etta because she didn't accept the power of her parent over her decisions.
While some turned their attention to Elaine Ng. They said that her mother shouldn't be treated Etta that way and as her mother, she was the one who will help her mother. While others said that they understand the situation of Etta because they also feel the same way as she feels.
