One of the general beliefs in the past is a son who is holding a higher state than a daughter. A daughter-in-law also needed to agree to all her parents-in-law orders. It's a tradition with a lot of Asian families that have been firmly rejecting. Nowadays, a woman tries in continuing a job and have equal rights at home.
But still, there are few people who believed that a woman doesn't have the right to her personal life while others think that woman must remain completely loyal and faithful to her new family upon marriage.

A 35-year-old woman named Lisa who gave birth to an adorable baby girl last October. After her delivery, the doctors gave Lisa health supplement which can help her to faster her recovery and it also gives additional nutrients that she would need to breastfeed her daughter. And since she had a severe delivery, the doctor told her to stay in the hospital for a few days because they also needed to observe her health.
But the mother-in-law and Lisa's husband didn't agree with the doctor's instruction, particularly her mother-in-law who told to her that,
Lisa's mother-in-law's rude words break her heart. At that time, she was hoping that her own mother was there for her instead of her uncaring and apathetic mother-in-law. Lisa's husband then forced her to be discharged from the hospital the next day which it was earlier than she was deemed to go home. Her husband even told to her,
After her husband asked for her to have an early discharge, however, the doctor of Lisa protested on their decision because she isn't still completely recover from her delivery and they also needed to monitor Lisa before they could let her go home. But, Lisa's husband and mother-in-law were solid with their decision. The mother-in-law told to the doctor,
But Lisa couldn't get a proper rest after she went back in their house. For a new mother, it is very essential to get a rest for her to be completely recovered her energy after giving birth to her child and to completely recover her body after the exhausting labor. But, she was the opposite of it. They already asked Lisa to help with some house chores as soon as she returned to their home. Lisa was also disappointed that she can't take care of her baby very well.
And since she usually too occupied with the house chores, she then doesn't have time to feed her baby. Lisa's mother-in-law and her husband never thought of hiring a maid to the chores because they think it was just a waste of money when Lisa can do it.
Her husband believed that it was something that Lisa should do as a wife even though he knew that Lisa is struggling to do all the chores with her health situation. Lisa was so disappointed and sad because her husband didn't want to hear her out. She was scared to ask her mother-in-law if she can stay at her home because it might be the reason to start a conflict between them.
Lisa felt strangely tired one day.
Her head was crushing as if anytime it was going to explode. And while she went to the bedroom to rest, she said to her mother-in-law and her husband to eat first. However, she collapsed on the floor after she arrived on their bedroom. Swiftly, her daughter cried because of hunger to which her mother-in-law screams,
But her mother-in-law and her husband continue to eat instead of going to the baby. After they were done on their meal, the baby was still crying. Her mother-in-law then screamed,
However, Lisa stays lifeless on the floor. Her husband then went to their bedroom because he senses that there was something wrong with his wife. When he reached their bedroom, he then discovered Lisa on the floor, and it was not breathing. He immediately rushed his wife to the hospital.
When his wife reached the hospital, it was too late. The investigation of Lisa's condition showed that Lisa was experiencing severe fatigue and stress which is the reason why her heart becomes weaker. Her husband suddenly cried his heart out because he still can't accept that his wife is gone.
Lisa's parents then went to the hospital and find out that their daughter passed away. However, Lisa's parents couldn't hold their hatred and anger towards her husband and mother-in-law upon discovering the reason why Lisa passed away. The chose to take the case in the court. Lisa's mother-in-law and her husband need to be punished because of their selfish act and carelessness that led its losses on Lisa's delicate situation. They neglected to think Lisa's well-being first as a first-time mother who had just given birth to a child.
This story shows us that selfish act can never answer anything. Although she was obviously still weak from the labor reveals how careless and unsympathetic they were to Lisa and the fact that her husband and her mother-in-law declined to listen to her. It is still important to point out that this system no longer practical in these modern days while many believed that a wife should serve a family and follow every word of her husband.
Marriage should be taken together with faith, respect, and love. In addition to that, a husband an in-laws never treat the wife as their own. Think to marry someone so that the husband could treat you as free labor to help him and his family. It also goes against the nature of a marriage institution and this doesn't also go against with wife's rights.
