"Birthday ko ngayon, 94 na ako. Sa totoo lang hindi na ako naghahangad pa ng kahit ano bilang matanda na ako at masyado na akong maraming dinanas buhay. Kumbaga, kuntentung-kuntento na ako sa ganito. Kahit na ba buong buhay ko isinakripisyo ko para lang maalagaan ang mga mahal ko; tatay ko, mga kapatid ko, pati na din ibang kamag-anak ko. Hindi na nga ako nagkaroon ng sariling pamilya kasi mas inalala ko sila, pero hindi ko naman pinagsisihan ‘yun. ‘Eto nga at ako na lang natira, ako naman ngayon ang inaalagaan.
