Tuwing sasapit ang ala-sais ng hapon ay may naririnig silang iyak ng isang bata sa tabing dagat, pero ikinagulat nila nang madiskubre nila at tunay na dahilan

Many people in this certain community somewhere in Cavite hearing again the voice of a crying child that comes from a certain ocean. Many people who live there also speculate that the voice that they always heard every night was coming from a siren who was left by the loved of her life. We all know that Cavite City is one of the cities who was surrounded by the oceans. Most of the citizens in Cavite was living near the seashore.

And there is a certain community in Cavite who were always the topic of the citizens living there mainly because it is said that there is a mysterious thing on there that the people in Barangay Trese still can't figure it out for over many years. One of the families that were living on near the seashore is the family of Maricel. Their family is also one of those many people who was hearing a voice of a crying child.

"Ma, bakit tuwing alas-sais nalang, may naririnig tayong umiiyak na bata?" 

The young woman begins to cry again because it was already 6 o'clock in the evening. When people first heard the noise on their barangay, many of the barangay tanod were patrolling over the barangay and roaming all over the place almost every day in the hope that they will find out where is that mysterious noise coming.

And the barangay tanod eventually give up and they just only let themselves heard the voice of the crying child which it always happened at the clop strikes at 6 o'clock in the evening. In their 10 years of living there, the voice never fails to stop. Until one day, an old woman was suddenly visiting on their barangay. The old woman then finds their former place and luckily, the house of the old woman was now the house of Maricel. The old woman then told to her,

"Anak, pasensya na sa abala. May kailangan lang akong kumpirmahin." 

Even though Maricel was confused, she still asks the old woman what it is. The old woman then said to her, almost crying,

"Isang napaka-importanteng bagay na iniwan sa akin ng aking anak bago siya mawala." 

Maricel first then requested the old woman to come in on their house. Later on, she allows the old woman to roam around in their home to find what the thing she needed to find.

"Soledad, anak patawarin mo ang nanay..." 

the old woman said while she was crying. The old woman was continuously crying and suddenly, she prayed on the picture that she was holding. Even though Maricel was confused by what the old woman was doing, she still kept silence and just silently look at the old woman.

Later on, the old woman then goes in again in the house and said her thanks to Maricel.

"Maraming salamat. Nakarating sa akin ang balitang may batang umiiyak daw dito gabi-gabi." 

She continued,

"Anak ko ang batang iyon, ang pangalan niya ay Soledad." 

Maricel, on the other hand, was surprised by what the old woman was saying. She was also in terror at the same time while she was looking at the photo of a young woman.

"Nalun*d siya noong walong taong gulang pa lamang saktong alas-sais ng hapon. Nagpaalam siya noon kasama ang kaniyang mga kaibigan na maliligo lang daw sa dagat. Hindi namin namalayan na lahat ng mga kaibigan niya'y nakauwi at siya nalang ang hindi. Ang akala daw ng mga ito ay nauna na siyang umuwi. Kaarawan ko noong araw na iyon at itong pulseras na ito pala dapat ang ireregalo niya sa akin." 

"Kahapon ay narinig ko ang istory ng batang babae na gabi-gabing umiiyak sa barangay na ito. Lumakas ang kutob ko na ang anak kong si Soledad iyon."

Maricel can't find words to say because she was totally speechless as she was also crying and at the same time she felt pity for what was the old woman going through.

"Kagabi ay nagparamdam siya sa panaginip ko. Kaarawan ko ngayon at ika-labing-tatlong anibersaryo din ng kaniyang pagkam4t4y. Alam kong siya ang nagturo sa akin dito." 

The old woman then point at Maricel's house and she continued,

"Ito ang dati naming tahanan, dito pala sa likod-bahay niya inil1b1ng ang regalong hindi na niya nabigay sa akin noon." 

Maricel cried upon hearing it. It almost 12 years after the young girl gave her gift for her mother's birthday. That's when she knew the reason why the young girl always crying not because of her lose but because of the gift that she can never give to her mother. After that day, the barangay and as well as the ocean become peaceful and calm.
